Fela Kuti Quiz

The studio albums of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, who built a new music out of highlife, jazz and James Brown, sang in pidgin so the whole continent could follow, and used it to attack the Nigerian government for twenty years. Forty-four albums, 1965 to 1992 — the largest set here — including the one that got his compound burned down and his mother killed, and the one he named after the coffin he delivered to the head of state in reply. The wrong answers are unusually cruel, because his own discography page lists live records, anthologies and another man's album in the same column as the real thing.
